When Saray and Marc contacted me to photograph their wedding in Altafulla / Tarragona, I didn’t hesitate for a moment, if there’s something I like more than photography, it’s traveling. So, few emails later, we were already organizing my trip.
The wedding was held in Tamarit castle, a spectacular location. The castle rises just above the sea, and the views from most rooms and gardens look directly onto the Mediterranean, I can’t ask for a better backdrop.
Practically all the guests, myself included, were staying in the bungalow campsite next to the castle, imagine the great atmosphere during breakfast the day before the wedding, the reunions and the joy of being all together beyond the hours of the wedding.
Between stone walls and terraces to the sea, the couple’s preparations began, Saray dressed two pieces of a Teresa Helbig dress that hallucinated me, shoes by Pura López and accessories from a designer friend. One of the guests took care of her hair and makeup, while Marc wore a tailored suit and burgundy shoes from Bow-Tie.
The crowning moment of the ceremony was when Marc read his vows to Saray, what this couple shares is truly special. All the guests were silent listening to his words. We only woke up when Coco, their furry son, entered with the rings. After a small couple session in some of the many beautiful corners of the castle, the couple returned with their guests and then, the party began.
Anybody stopped toasting for the newly weds, dancing and celebrate the big day until late into the night … And the faces of happiness and hangover of the guests having breakfast the following morning confirmed it 😉 .
Saray, Marc, thank you the way you treated me, for all your details, from the bouquet that awaited me when I arrived at the bungalow to the farewell paella with all the guests, in which I felt one more.
