“It’s not the look, it’s the way you look at me”
What Lídia and Lluís have feels special, the way they look, they listen and laugh together, with love and admiration, I thought that wedding was going to have many laughs and tears, and that’s exactly how it was.
Their day began with the preparations at the farm Santa Victoria ; Lídia was upstairs preparing herself with her friends and her mother, and every so often Lluís was heard throwing a compliment down the stairs from the ground floor, “the most beautiful wife!”, “I love you Lídia!”, “Gorgeous Lídia!” The atmosphere was relaxed and full of laughter.
She was wearing a dress by Sonia Pons – Maria Pons Boutique, which became one of my summer favorites because of how personal it was, with their initials embroidered on the tail and the laced flowers, bought by the bride during a trip, sewn by hand one by one. Lluís’s costume was from Ca’n Miquel, and the two were wearing Mascaró shoes.
After the poem and the bouquet delivery from the bestman (a Spanish tradition), the ushers and bestman took the bride in a mehari and they drove her around Ferreries until the moment of the ceremony arrived. Lluís was thrilled to see her enter the church on her father’s arm, and it was no wonder. When leaving the church, we went to the venue with the mehari, stopping a moment to take some pictures in front of the house they have bought, the graphic proof of “how was the facade before the reform”. I imagine them showing that picture to their children in the future 😉 .
When arriving in Santa Victoria, everything was ready for an incredible day. It was filled with details, Lídia had put her touch in every corner. Nice details, natural and beautiful surrounding, catering offered by S’Algar and live music… I don’t think we can ask for more.
The guests wanted to party, and Ritmo Menorca and the group Es Caliu were in charge of giving them what they wanted. And, from what they told me, the party continued until dawn with a dip in the pool included.
